Tala Ghanayem
Tala holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA in Politics from King’s College London. Tala wrote her dissertation on the MENA Paradox, a regional phenomenon highlighting the mismatch between high female education rates and chronically low labor force participation. Tala also conducted research on the use of social media as a tool of political activism in the context of Palestine.
Prior to NAMA, Tala worked at the Political Affairs department of the Palestinian Mission to the UK and the Negotiations Affairs Department in Ramallah, Palestine. Tala is also currently working as a Consultant – National Research Coordinator at Development Pathways where she oversees a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) focused on expanding social security to Syrian refugees in Jordan, in partnership with the ILO, UNHCR, and SSC.
As an aspiring analyst, with experience in research analysis and an aptitude for international relations and political economy, Tala brings many tremendous qualities to the NAMA Team.
